Critical RTMP Meeting on June 18

On Thursday, June 18, at 5 PM at San Rafael City Hall, Marin Water will be holding a special meeting to present their recommendations for moving forward on the Road and Trails Management Plan (RTMP) Update. This is an important opportunity to support expanded bike access on Mount Tam.

Marin Water will be presenting recommendations for more than 30 miles of trails for mountain bike access, including existing singletrack, road to trail conversions, and social trail adoption. It is critical that there is a big representation of positive, respectful, pro-mountain bike voices, especially folks who don’t speak at every Marin Water meeting, such as youth riders and families. This is a great chance to advocate for more access on the mountain.

There will be opponents to these changes, which makes it so important for the Board to hear from as many supporters as possible. If you cannot attend in person or by Zoom, please consider sending a letter to the Board of Directors with your support for mountain bikes on water district trails at mmwdboard@marinwater.org.
